Delicious
As I worked today I kept picturing my refrigerator. I bought a coconut last night I was savoring it while I worked, all I could picture was the inside of my refrigerator and the coconut chilling for my liking.
Worked until about 3:45 went straight to school to try to catch my advisor before he left for the day. I missed him; need to do my grad check so I can walk this June, according to the secretary I still have time. Well I hope I do if not then I don’t think I will be disappointed but I’ll try so I can please my family. Got home and sat around for a while I kept savoring the coconut until I finally decided to open it.
Going back the market, as I was picking the coconut I saw this reddish tinted coconut looked delicious, now all coconuts are somewhat light in color and tan, well this one was reddish never seen nothing like it, I had to have it. Didn’t think twice, I bought some cereal, bananas and the coconut, oh I bought coconut milk too… don’t know why sounds good though doesn’t it.
At around 7 I opened the coconut, I poured the juice in a cup the juice seemed reddish tinted, usually it is white and clear but this one was reddish clear. I figure this must be the best coconut in the world since it was different, I figure the reddish tint was because it was just so ripe. I then I tried to carve the white milky skin so I can put it in the cup with the juice.
To my surprise there wasn’t anything apparently the coconut wasn’t ripe, it was rotten old, and not like it should have been. Damn it, I was savoring it all day and I come home to this, I couldn’t let it all go to waste so I drank the juice didn’t taste as good as it should have but I still drank it. I was pretty upset afterwards, damn American markets I should have gone to a real market that sell these exotic fruits.
Work tomorrow at 7 again; good thing is that it will be my last day. I quit this job for a new one, I figure I could do better and I did. Got a new one, I felt kind of sad leaving it today since I’ve accomplished a lot of things there, when it comes to working on something I like to leave it perfect with no flaws as everything should be. I’ll be leaving one of my co-workers that graduated from the same school with the same major a year ago didn’t know him until I started to work there, I’ll make sure to give him my number incase he needs anything.
He was always there when I had questions or to just talk about our professors or just school. As of everyone else I won’t miss anyone else apparently people at this place have lost the need to socialize with anyone else but themselves. I like to greet people in the mornings and smile, even though I may be tired and not willing to say anything, I do, I think this is my mom’s doing… ok enough I could write more, getting tired until next time.
